SOUS VIDE
Sous vide (soo-veed) is a style of cooking which was a secret that professional chefs and restaurants have relied on for decades and allows for the creation of delicious meals consistently and beautifully. Sous vide ensures dishes are cooked perfectly, retaining rich flavors and juicy textures. This project aimed to create an intuitive sous vide cooking experience allowing anyone to create restaurant-quality dishes in their home kitchen.

PROBLEM
Most sous vide devices in the market were made for professional chefs and costly. They also tended to be large and require an additional vacuum sealing device which did not promote their use by a typical consumer. With this in mind, I wanted to make a small, clean, and easily accessible standalone product.



To make sous vide accessible to amateur chefs, I designed this probe to be a set-and-forget product. For example, I included a magnet that allowed the device to cling to the side of a pot. It communicates to the cooktop wirelessly and charges in the dock with wireless induction technology.
